Is it worth CHIPPING my 2005 Roadster?

I can't even remember right now and my notes are in my office.... I think.... But if I remember correctly the performance increase was pretty close and the first tests were done with nothing more than a stop watch. I wish I had done a more reliable baseline before I started changing things. I remember that before I went and got the chip done that I took my K&Ns out and did some 0 - shift to 3rd runs with a stop watch and then reinstalled the K&Ns and did the same. After the chipping it's shifting to 3rd at a faster speed (about 61 mph. Before it shifted right about 57 mph) so that kind of skews the results using the stop watch and shift into 3rd method. The I got the G-Tech pro and ran some tests with that. I don't have a ton of confidence that the G-Tech is very accurate I'm still planning on getting some real Dyno numbers.... One of these days, when I not so busy.
I think that I actually got more of a total performance boost from the chip, then the K&Ns. Mainly because of the other factors that the chip improved... Shifting crisper and shift point change. Also got better mid to high range torque with the chip.
Now there are 12, 001 pages...

Wes- what figures did you set up in your GTPro??
As you saw I got some wild figures with mine using 3400lbs. Also I can't get the tach to read the same as the XF tach although the shift lights were spot on!!

I think you have the G-Tech pro Compitition, from what you have described. Mine is just the G-Tech pro. It just gives HP... 0 - 60 times 1/4 mile times and Longitudinal and lateral Gs. I use 3,400 lbs also and doing HP it avaraged 244. 0 - 60 in something like 5.7 seconds. I haven't done any 1/4 mile times. Because like the 0 - 60 times and HP you need to make several runs in both directions and average them. I just haven't taken the time to find a secluded road where I can make 1/4 mile runs like that. Afetr seeing what I got for HP and 0 - 60 I have some serious doubts about the accuracy of the G-Tech.

Personally I try to prevent the tires from breaking at fast launch and always get a good chirp in second, once in a while in third. I have a buddy that I let drive it last week and he always chirped it in third gear, his shifts where really smooth, fast and always right a redline...

I am talking about from a dead standing start. I want/try to get ALL the bite to the ground and GO!!!!!!!!!
As to breaking the wheels loose in ANY gear...............Never done it!!!
Might be my old ears but I have never heard a chirp in any gear!!
PLUS at $300.00+ per rear tire for just a bit of showing off is not very cost effective to me.
