Electronic Oil Pressure Gauges
Is there a standard to electronic oil pressure gauge sending units? That is, are they electrically the same (talking aftermarket here).
My ProSport sending unit is bad, after just under 3 years service. A complete new kit is $44 plus shipping, not bad, really. But if I can save a buck and get a sending unit quicker, locally, that will work - I will.

The answer here is sort of. A lot of manufacturers use the same resistance values in their senders, often just using a commonly available off the shelf sender, but sometimes they reinvent the wheel and make/source/build their own with a specific value range.
You might ask the supplier you got the original kit from if they have the specs on the sender. If they do and will give them to you then a good auto parts store can help you locate a suitable replacement.
If you don't want to spend that kinda time then a whole kit might be your best bet. They may even sell you just a sender. Never hurts to ask.

I sent 'em an email asking if I could order just the sender.
It's just that if I could get one locally, I could fix this by the weekend, which is one thing on my list to do before the Dragon.
