i purchased from same vendor as John & Terry so i assume it's ok
thx for reply
I had a similar experience to Ronman - worked first time and I followed the same instructions he specified in the link.
The version I received was 17.04.27.
I believe it's important to disable network access as specified at step 24, I've heard other had problems when they didn't.

You will need an internet connection to update and install. You disable the internet at the very end just like it says. Then witech is never allowed to connect to the internet once everything is installed.
Like Ronman identified in the above quote, when I followed this setup exactly as written, everything worked fine for me & still does. I made a PDF file & saved this instruction on my laptop.

I just took mine out of the closet and I used 17.03, I installed mine a year ago. Make sure it is a brand new Windows 7 installation and install all updates and don't install anything else. Then follow the instructions exactly. That is what I did. Good luck and keep us posted.

Maybe the servers are shut down and no longer update older versions? Has anyone recently installed the software? I installed mine about a year ago like I said.

I resolved my issues
any thing i loaded with my win7 software wouldn't update properly
so i have one i didn't load and it works fine.
the only thing different i noticed was trying to put a shortcut on the desktop. i used a bookmark for the browser and that is fine.
180
180, i didn't see an abs bleed option
BUT there is a activation test that runs the pump and that will help I believe to purge the air from system
run the pump then vent your caliper.

Presumably without WiFi you use a cable.
Is that true?
Thanks for any help.

I'm not sure what they use the WiFi for. It would make more sense to use Bluetooth if they wanted to offer wireless connectivity to the laptop. In any event, mine does not have WiFi and uses the supplied USB cable to connect to my laptop. If they are using the WiFi version for connectivity to the laptop, then it's probably better to go with the non-WiFi version if using the supplied software, since it won't work properly unless network access is disabled on the laptop.

Hello, There is no WiFi necessary for the emulator software to install or run. But software updates of windows 7 over the internet may be necessary, prior to installing the emulator software. And either Wi-Fi or ethernet may be needed if that is the case. But after Windows 7 is updated, Wi-Fi and ethernet and the internet is not wanted, while the emulator is running. Because the computer will try to 'call home' and possibly deactivate the emulator in the process.. This is a link to the person's article who installed this software and used it on a Crossfire How to install DRBIII Emulator for Micropod 2 on Windows 7 Pro 32-bit | OBDII365.com Official Blog. I will also be happy to assist. And there are others on here who are probably even more experienced than myself.

John&Terry got me "hooked up" with the DRB3 Emulator. Mine works fine - I was able to sync my new sensors on the PS of the car and have synced others that have replaced all of the sensors. Just remember you need a TPMS scanner to trigger the wheel sensors when the software asks you to.

Glad to hear this is working out well for you and that you have also been able to assist others!

Attached is a copy of the receipt for the MicroPod 2 I bought a couple of years back. Looks like it is a little cheaper right now. I did purchase a small, refurbished laptop (Dell model something or other) from an eBay seller with Windows 7 to load the software and run the diagnostics within the DRB3 Emulator software. Laptop cost me around $95 USD.

I just got back to this project, I have been working on another project and this one slipped back a lot.
I apologize to J and T for sending the disk and me letting things slide.

No need to apologize. I also shuffle projects around all the time. Glad to hear you are preceding ahead with this one. We are all here to help. Plenty of disks left if anyone else needs one.

As I have aged I find that things take longer to start, work on and finish. My Double Din installation is typical, I started in November 2017 and it still requires painting. Admittedly I did two variations on it but still ........
My motto is ‘How hard can it be’, these days things just seem harder to do.

Dave, I still have the Windows 7 laptop for your use. Let me know when you are ready and I'll drop it by.
