'04 hard lurch putting in gear, too many lights
Good morning guys. I AM STUMPED! I bought an '04 coupe, auto with 34K miles. It is showroom, even the luggage, EXCEPT it has many lights on in the dash and when shifting it in and out of gear it has a very hard lurch to it. The lights include brake, ABS, BAS ESP, check engine, low tire, steering, and flashing spoiler. the codes are: C1025 Controller BUS network message antilock brake system faulty, PO 720 output shaft speed sensor, PO600A serial communication link, PO20CC rough road detected, PO 2036 No BUS cab messages, PO 2310 Controller network communication w traction system. I have changed out the trans conductor plate (aftermarket, not MB) and trans fluid thinking that was the problem, but no change. ANY suggestions as to next to try? Trans control module (but will that need to be programmed?) Im not too confident that the local dealer would be able to diagnose. I am looking for any suggestions. Thank you in advance.
~ The shifter shifts in and out hard you said. Does the dash display the correct mode of the transmission when you shift or is there a square block displayed?
~ Did you clear the codes after you replaced the aftermarket conductor plate?
~ Did a visual inspection of the Transmission Control module reveal fluids?

Hi and thanks for your help. The car shifts very hard, brake applied when shifting in/out of P, R, D. The gear indicator does show which gear it is in inside the square, I have tried clearing the PO2310 code controller network communication w traction system failure by using my Mac Mentor but it states it needs to be key on, engine off even if that is how I am trying to clear it. I have also tried clearing it w the engine running, and even disconnection the battery for 1 minute. It always come back to the same lights and code. There was trans fluid inside the conductor plate exterior connection and so I did rinse all parts down well with brake cleaner. WHen I have gotten a similar code from other brand vehicles, especially with the traction and brake light on, it seems like it comes down to a BCM unit malfunctioning. But I am new to Chrysler electronics and am here to learn from those who know the system. Any suggestions are appreciated.

I just checked and the TCU pin area looks clean. I then tried my Mac Mentor under MB but it would not let me identify the controller. I read on here taht a person can purchase an Alltel scan tool and then purchase the MB update and that will allow a person to delete codes. Anyone w experience with this? I also read that if I purchase a used TCU, same application, 2004 coupe w automatic, it should be a plug and play. Anyone have experience doing this? How many numbers have to match on the tag? I found a used one and the numbers match A 033 545 11 32 EGS52. If those number match, is that enough to make then matching? Or can anyone recommend any companies that reprogram these?

Im assuming you are meaning the 6 solenoids on the plate? How do you tell if they are sticky? I just pulled them out of the plate when I switched them. I wondered if it was TCU as it also sets codes/lights for traction control. But I will try anything.
