Yes all the wiring came off even though the back was a little tough. I took the spider trap door off and nothing was inside. Looks like there never was anything inside from the factory. I put the switch assembly back in and it starts just fine and the key comes out every time with no problem. (This time! LoL) Now I have to do some dash tupper ware fixing. The dash ring broke when magilla gorilla tried delicately to remove it. Also I noticed several other broken places that will need ABS plastic epoxy as well. That's why I notices a lot of play in the dash and lower parts.

I hate to tell you this but the cluster bezel did not to be removed only the lower dash. Your best bet is to try to find a used one and if you can't find a red one then try to match the paint. They are super hard to put back on.

If the spring or pin was already removed, I do not know why your key got stuck. At Lowes they sell a lock lubricant called Houdini that I have had good luck with and apparently locksmiths have been using it for years. So spray some of that inside where the key goes and hopefully that helps. Sounds like someone has already been messing around with your dashboard previously.

With your starting issue, if you did replace the RCM with a new one then that has been ruled out. If it was a used one, then it has not been ruled out as the possible cause. In post 11, you put "new" in quotes.

After that if you still have issues with starting, it doesn't hurt to try my 2 suggestions. Otherwise whoever you take your skreem to can test everything out to make sure the skreem and computer are still in sync. You said you wanted another key anyway.

There is not much else I can help you with, good luck Romad!

With the key stuck in the switch I could not manage to remove the assembly as the key was hitting the bezel. Anyway I'll leave the bezel off for now because I will remove the SKREEM module should I have no start problems in the short term. I'm pretty sure I can paste the bezel back together and not be too noticeable. Two of the attachment lugs are broken as well as a 3" piece on the backside. I only want to reinstall it back "once" should I have the SKREEM repaired.

Another side note: While the bezel is off I want to investigate my idea of installing a small led light on it to illuminate the dark LED gages. As is now I have to use my parking lights on during the day to be able to read them. It would be on all the time the ignition in in the on position.

If you are talking about the black ring around the key switch, that is the RFID antenna for the chip in the fob. If it is compromised, order a new one. You are about to waste a LOT of time. I think Josh at the MSS has them in stock.

I was talking about the black ring which is under the RFID antenna. Turns out I was talking about the tumbler locking nut. (Didn't know what that was at the time.)
