Default Key FOB

Hello all,

I have a remote that doesn't auto lock or unlock the doors anymore. I have only one key and the chip is inside the remote that unlocks, locks and starts the car. Has anyone had any luck in getting a new remote and key?
If you have any recommendations, please reply. Thought it would be nice to have an extra key with the chip even if the auto lock and unlock don't work. Thanks!

These are the best quality I've seen yet, looks like the same fob you get from the mss grey or black $15

I found this grey OEM Crossfire key fob with circuit board for sale on the internet. You'll need your chip from the old fob and key shaft .

I myself have the black ones (the original Mercedes FOBs) because I was never able to find the Crossfire shells in new condition. These look slightly off but close. Did you buy them? Would be very interested to see what they look like in real life and with a Chrysler logo attached to the back.
If you bought one, please show it off Might get one! Currently have the black one, with the painted lock buttons and the bling and they look good.
Also have the more modest black ones, the ones where the lock/unlock buttons are not painted on and just engraved and looks more "standard".

I still dig the switch blade key fob style but I wish the case would have been somewhat more "special/sporty" or different. The Mercedes A-class of its time had the same key and that's kind of a shame LOL

I have the LAcartech key fob. I'll have to take a picture with the Chrysler logo on it. NOTE: the original key blade will not transfer to the new body. You will need to have the new blade cut to match your original.
But here are a couple of side by side pictures:

I actually like the case a lot. But I'm surprised the original blade doesn't fit. Wish it did, because I'd love to just move the electronics over to that case as it looks even better than the OEM.

Hey John, I noticed your panic button ate up. I bought a couple of FOB's that looked like our OEM ones and just popped off the red panic button rubber part, and removed my 'ate-away' red rubber part off my OEM one and snapped the new red rubber switch cover onto the OEM FOB. Have you checked this out? I am not sure if I posted this once before but the red panic button rubber part fit perfectly. Might save a few hours/FOB boards/cases, you know? Another big plus, you'll never lose the SKREEM pass 'chip' or damage it while taking it apart. Just saying...

Hi George,
thanks for the suggestion. I was trying to experiment with the new electronics that came with the new case. Unfortunately, they won't work with our setup.
Also, the old case needed to be replaced. I had trouble with the key blade staying closed all of the way.
