Default P2030-04, p2037-04, p20cc-08, p2036-04, p203e-04

05 Chrysler Crossfire base. Drove to town and back, car was at idle in my driveway then the coolant fan kicked on extremely high. Dash gauges lit up like a Christmas tree. I turned the car off and let it sit for a few minutes, then proceeded to start it back up and absolutely nothing...no click, no fuel pump engagement, absolutely nothing. Figured might be battery....nope. Hooked up the scan tool and wella... I'm just looking for diagnostic help, what the check what to fix. I'm pretty sure 1 or possibly 2 issues is causing the rest. Is it my gear shifter??? I've been having trouble getting it in to just, Reverse and Park, for quite some time. Any help if someone has some time to take, would be greatly appreciated!!!

It sounds like your RCM went bad.If you have a spare, or can borrow someone else's swap it out. When the fan speed goes crazy, that's usually it.
As far as shifting, that could be your conductor plate.

I don't have a spare...if I buy a used one, is it plugged and play ir does ut need programming?
As far as my shifter, it's only while in Park. I put it in drive then when I try to put it in reverse or park, I can't. I have to wiggle the shat out of it to get it to go in R/P. As far as driving, it shifts great.

You can also contact @tighed1 I believe he sells rebuilt RCMs. He also rebuilds them at a very low cost and a quick turn around.
If not I wouldn't buy used. You can get a new one from amazon for about $160.00, the good thing is if that's not the problem, you can return it. I carry a spare all of the time.
They are plug and play. Here's a post I did about the RCM:

Bzak1pgh I can refurbish your existing RCM for a third of the price of a new one AND it will be a better unit than new! Email tighed1@hotmail.com for the details.

Used RCMs require a trip to DJ's before use - only cause they ALL fail eventually. Leaving your garage in a Crossfire without a spare RCM in the trunk is like leaving home without your wallet.

I'd ship mine to DJ, then also order a NEW one. That is what I did. My new one fixed the car and the rebuilt one from DJ is my spare. This is how you keep yourself from being stranded without warning.

RCMs are generic and they plug in like plugging a lamp into an outlet - super simple, no tools needed.

With regards to your shifter - the shifter has two interlocks, one is mechanical, and the other is electrical. The mechanical goes to your ignition switch - I think it stops you starting the car if you're not in park or neutral. The other is a solenoid in the shifter assembly and sometimes the retracting spring breaks (I think it keeps you from shifting into park or reverse if you foot is not on the brake.). Have you tried the manual override on the shifter - you put a blunt rod/pencil in the hole at the back top of the shifter to manually bypass the interlocks.

I have used that hole to shift into Reverse and Park. Can I buy the spring and repair it myself or do I have to get the entire shifter?
