There are plenty of good quality rotors on the market, and a nice set of slotted (though probably NOT drilled for road use) makes for a very nice look. A decent set of ceramic brake pads will eliminate dust, which the factory pads seem to deposit on the wheels by the bucket load! I swapped out to Posi-Quiet ceramics on all 4 corners when I had but 2500 miles on my car and now brake dust is virtually nonexistent. And I still managed to out brake a Porsche 911 from 125mph down to 35mph during a track day once, so I didn't give up anything as far as braking performance goes. The Rotex Gold pads are also very popular around here.
As for the calipers themselves, I painted mine a semi-gloss black and then had a local shop print up some Chrysler decals, silver in color, with a slight arc to them.

stoptech's are sweet but expensive. I have full set of brake performance slotted and dimpled rotors that have less then 1000 miles on them. pm me if interested.

Bowlman, those are some nice wheels.. Les you know I love yours already.
I hate you both, you better not make me spend even more on my car lol.

I would go with slotted or slotted/dimpled... not cross drilled for daily use....
I put Xbrake slotted/drilled rotors on my Intrepid just to try them out and with the kevlar titanium pads they growled when I used the brakes firmly.... when the KT's wore out I put ceramic pads on and that pretty much stopped the growling..... but not completely... they stop wonderfully though...
The Aero has C32 drilled/slotted rotors and calipers in front and DiskItalia slotted rotors in back.

Check out my for sale ads...I deal with Centric only brakes and all of my srt6 brakes I sale are Power alloy with posi quiet ceramic brake pads...I sale complete sets for 410 shipped! I WOULD NOT GO WITH SLOTTED ONLY BRAKES IF THIS IS FOR LOOKS ONLY and you dont want a dimpled rotor either/ drilled is a much better method In fact I do not know to many companies out there that use the dimpled method! Slotted only brake rotors are made for the hard core guys who race on weekends and drive hard throughout the week! A drilled slotted rotor would better fit your needs! Centric are the ones who own and operate companies such as stoptech and powerslot! So you know your getting the best! The power alloy centric rotor that I sale for the srt6 is basically a stoptech rotor without carrying the price tag! but same technology!!! hope this helps

Doc, they look like Willow's...
I would like the Indy500....
BWT: TSW Wheels - Indy 500 (Silver w/ Mirror Lip) - TSW Rims
or the Vairano's....
TSW Vairano (Gun Metal w/ Mirror Cut Face & Lip) Wheels/Rims

I'm getting ready to install the rotors and calipers from a 2005 SRT6 on the front of my 2006 LTD Roadster. I'm also installing new Ceramic pads all around and putting rebuild kits in the front calipers. My question is : are there any tricks to doing this install. I was wondering about the " Wear indicators" , ABS, anti skid electronics, wires and how they connect to the pads or calipers. I seem to remember someone telling me that I had to drill a hole in the pad for the wire to attach. Are there any other wires to attach? I will also be replacing the flex brake lines with braided SS and flushing the fluid out. I've already painted the front calipers and will still have to paint the rear calipers. Just want to know any problems and/ or tricks to make this go smoothly. As some of you may experience, DIY can be perplexing. My 30 minute projects only take 3-4 days to finish. I always run into some kind of problem. I'm in Houston and also wondered if anyone in the area had done this mod before and might have some time to offer some assitance and/ or advice on doing this.
Dave,
The only 'wiring' issue you may see is the brake wear sensor.... there should be a hole/slot for the senor to fit into...I had to 'adjust' the hole on the C32 pads for the SRT6 sensor to fit...you might be able to get away without them if you want... try unplugging one and turn on the ignition and see if you get a brake warning lite....
I THINK that when the rotor hits the sensor they wear the insulation off and create a short that turns the light on....
If you were in OR I could help you.....

I haven't done this swap but when I replaced the pads on my SRT-6 they came with the connector for the wear sensor. (It is only a low brake pad warning sensor) When I installed my Stoptech BBK with race pads they didn't have the sensor connector. I folded them up and zip tied them out of the way. No lights on the dash. You should have no worries about the ABS or BAS.

Thanks for the feedback, I haven't done one of these in a long time. I kept hearing little tid bits of info that were confusing. I looked at my pads and they do have a slot in them. I assume the same will be true for the rear pads. I have to time this where if anything goes wrong it won't cause a problem. I appreciate your help.

Does anyone know of any problems with putting 2005 SRT6 Front calipers and rotors on and 2006 LTD Roadster, also plan on new ss braided brake lines and new fluid. I want to make sure they clear the stock LTD wheels with noe problems.

Another option is SRT rotors with CL/S500 MB/Brembo calipers
Or for something even bigger, MB Brembo C32/CLK500/CLK55/S600/CL600 calipers with C32 rotors.
I have an extra set of calipers for either set up. This set up will not work with n/a stock wheels and SRT wheels will need spacers. This is a great set up for aftermarket wheels.
