What did you do to your Crossfire today?

You are correct sir!
Nah, after wrapping my windshield surround and door handles I had some pieces left over.

I washed the car for the first time this year and took the easy way out, I went over it with 'Meguiars Detail Spray', cleaned the glass and did the lights with 'Meguiars Headlight Protectant'. You just have to look after those headlights.
One day a pair of headlights in excellent condition and a excellent OEM cargo cover will be worth more than the average Crossfire. You heard it here first folks.
The wash was in preparation for the car show this weekend in London, Ontario. No rain forecast and a nice sunny day in the high 70's predicted. We expect a good turn out.

Just be sure to cover the decal in some sort of clear coat, even clear nailpolish works, but if not, the white lettering and outline of the car will be gone in a few days/weeks of normal key use...

I found that was only good for about 2-3 months. I ended up needing to replace my case.. got the Mercedes Ebay special. It has the logo area recessed which was perfect for the "andrews" treatment and basically filled it with nail polish. About 4 months later still looks perfect.

Something like this? I'll probably do that once the buttons start to wear... For now it's plastidip and clear nail polish lol.

Re: What did you do to your Crossfire today?
I did not think to take before pictures but, I believe most here will know what I am talking about. Decided today was the day to tackle a small problem that has bugged me since I purchased the car. The wear spots on the console from the rubberized coating rubbing off. Mine was worst in the areas that I have crudely circled in the pics. I decided to use black Plastidip since I have the base roadster with the dark slate interior. If you look at the front corner of the console storage lid it a decent match. I decided to mask off the silver console and I do not know about the rest of you but, I had a heck of time getting tape to stick to the silver. Masking tape, pin stripping, clear packing tape, scotch tape even the blue vinyl tape I used for my stripes would not stick. The only tape that would stick to any of it was duct tape and even that was hit and miss. I managed to get enough along the trouble area and draped towels over the rest of the console and seats. It ended up working pretty good with only a couple small areas where over spray ended up on the silver. What was there rubbed right off with my finger. Hopefully if I am careful it will hold up for a while, not to sure how durable this stuff is since it's made to peel off.
The other thing I did was take my Armor All Outlast Trim Restorer to the plastic bulkhead cover that runs behind the seat and under the roll bars. It did a good job darkening and evening out the area behind the seats. I then ran the rag along the black rub strip that sits between the top and the paint. It also did a decent job of evening that strip as well. Lastly I used it on the console storage lid which helped the lid match the console even better.

pulled out of Jacksonville fl, when the low coolant light lit up, had a 4 hour trip to get home. Opened the hood to discover the coolant return hose hanging with the brass nipple still attached, no pre-fix pictures:
tools available:
after using the hobby knife as a screwdriver and letting out more pipe, added RTV to both surfaces and the secured the pipe with a hose clamp
Post fix:
CrossfireForum.org - Gnarishal's Album: gnarishal - Picture
got all the way back, under the hood is bone dry

Took mine to our first Cars and Coffee this morning at Fuel which is located just east of Downtown Cincy on Riverside Drive. Got there early and since the lot is not that big I decided to park on the street behind a first gen Viper. A lot of cars and motorcycles, two Ferrari's, 2 ZR1 Corvettes and at least five Porsche GT variants but, just one Crossfire.

Re: What did you do to your Crossfire today?
Only talked to a couple people, one knew what the car was and thought it's history was actually cool. The other didn't know much about the car or it's Mercedes content but did say the car looked quite spiffy (his words). Got a couple "nice car" and a "looks good", it was a very laid back atmosphere. I stayed about two and a half hours.
