Help!?!?!?!
Ok so heres my problem and if you dont want the whole story you can skip to the question at the bottom. Just got the car back from the body shop after 3 weeks of them working on it and its still having problems. So I took it back today (had it back over the weekend but didnt drive it much) still having problems with grinding in the right front side -.- which the body shop is "working on". My problem now (besides not having my car) is that when I hit 62/63 and my spoiler comes up it wont go back down automaticly after I drop under 35 . The light on the control button begins flashing and I am unable to manually put it down either. Then after about 20-30 min and turning the car on and off a few times I can hit the button and it will go back down and seems to work normally when you manually put it up and down. This has happened twice now (both times I have taken it above 63) and it was not happening after my little accident and was working when I dropped it off 3 almost 4 weeks ago. Now the shop is saying "it could have just been something that when wrong while sitting at the shop and that insurance wouldnt cover it because it is not related to the accident" and flat out told me they didnt know what to do with it or whats causing the grinding when turning left or right or whats causing my BAS ESP light to come on but thats a whole different problem.
So long post short, does any one know what could cause my spoiler to go up and then lock up and become unresponsive with the light on the controll button flashing ?

Just some possibilities,
Speed sensor
Relay control module
Body control moudule
If your shop cant find out what is causing the grinding when turning right or left, find a new shop!

I'm with Mike on this one, have your shop do an analysis. Probably find it's one of the three mentioned.
I replaced my right rear wheel speed sensor when this happened to mine.

I agree with the new shop. Its currently at the Chrysler dealership ( I dont expect much from them either) to determine what the problem is and if it could of been due to offroading from the crash . Do you guys think it could be crash related? All input is appreciated

I have a legal and electrical (RADAR) engineering background. One of my pet peeves is when shops try to blame their electrical system ignorance on electrical gremlins. They messed it up, I have no questions in my mind.
I may engineer radar systems, but I'm a mechanical dummy, so this recommendation may deserve ridicule: Have them check your brakes in the repair area.

Tanner, Well I am glad you have your car 'mostly' fixed back together. Now to work out the bugs.
I would go directly to the insurance company and explain the situation/issues that have changed since the accident. Be assertive with them and make sure they understand you didn't have these problems BEFORE the accident. Insist that you want to take it to a repair facitlity that can remedy the problems left over from the accident.
Good luck, James

I have long believed that managers at auto repair facilities have to pass a special course, this course teaches you how to lie to a customer in the most believable manner. The object is to make the customer believe that their vehicle needs something done or if it is still in warranty that whatever the complaint, it is normal.
I once heard a service manager convince a woman that the horrendous noise coming from the overhead camshaft of her car, which was still under warranty, was `quite normal for these cars'. Her reply was that her husband would be in later in the week to buy another new car for himself.
I guess he had passed with flying colors.

Update. The body shop called me and said the Chrysler Dealership said that the problem with the spoiler is due to a defective upper limit switch. They said this was a known issue for which there was a TSB issued and would have been covered if my car was still under warranty. They also said that it could not be repaired even if it was under warranty because the parts are not available. Has any one heard of this or have any input on it? I have been doing some reseearch and found TSB # 23-032-06 (Body - Rear Spoiler Service Parts and Procedures ) but can not actually find what the TSB says or anything that would directly relate to this. Any one here work for a Chrysler dealer who could look into this for me?
