The AIT sensor is part of the MAF sensor. (Mass Air Flow) It is at the rear of the air cleaner.

The dealer seems to really have me by the ***** because now they say the car won't run...sigh what a joke taking things to the dealer. So I'm going to replace this sensor in their parking lot, are there any special tools I need? The cps replacement was somewhat easy, will this be just as easy? I'm wondering why they want $150 to replace this IAT sensor.

Ok, a little update. I talked with the guy at the dealer and he let me use the tools needed to replace the cps so i went and bought another cps from NAPA auto parts instead of autozone or advance, put it in and now the car runs and seems to run fine so far. I will know by tomorrow if this has done it.
Total cost: $100 diagnostic fee+$67 cps from napa
$167. A lot better than $642 that the dealer wanted.

If you need to remove the MAF sensor you will find two tamper resistant screws will need to be undone. These are a rare type of Torx screws in as much as they only have five lobes, not the normal six.
You can see that they are a bit chopped up as I managed to use a tamper resistant straight bit screwdriver, the slotted type.
Beaner said he used a regular slotted screwdriver. The screws are a bit tight so be careful you do not stab yourself.

I don't think i have a MAF, mine looks nothing like that. The IAT sensor is located below the throttle body and it looks like it just clips in on my car. Are you referring to a n/a crossfire?

Okay, this issue is now solved. Advance auto parts sold me a bad cps. So my conclusion is buy parts from NAPA or another high quality source because Advance and Autozone sell crap. Thank you everyone for all the help and guidance you have given me.

Sincerely,

Lance

Sounds to me (not knowing what exact code you are getting, there are several that pertain to the Crank Sensor and they do not all mean the same thing) - I'd say it's the Crank Sensor.

Did you go to Autozone or NAPA and buy some generic off-the-shelf sensor? Or did you order the RIGHT PART?

Here is the RIGHT PART:
https://www.germanautosupply.com/sto...sensor-96.html

I have carried one for five years, when mine died, I put the spare in and ordered another. They are not easy to find locally - and this has come up several times before - those generic sensors do not ALWAYS work and they do not always NOT work - you just never know with them.

ALSO - SEE POST 51!
