Welcome. Could be a number of things, if you have an Auto Zone or Pep Boys around your area they will check for free. By the way where are you from?

first thing to check is your gas cap. If it is not properly sealed, the check engine light will pop on.

Congrats on your new ride.

I agree - gas cap, probably when your sales person was fueling her up for you to take home. Don't worry - it will be ok!!!

PS Don't let cats near the roof of your new car - they will trash it! Trust me!

Wow! I posted my back window problem yesterday and just noticed the sticky above the forum that addresses this problem, seems I'm not the only one. This is a great forum!

Thanks, Ted

Thanks, Ted
Many, maybe MOST of the items that come up are nothing new. The next time you have any problem with the car, do a search of the forums... almost everything has been discussed.

There are threads on battery problems, hard starting, no start, top movement problems, trunk and door lock troubles, engine dying when it's hot, oil leaking from valve covers, oil leaking from the transmission, engine "overheating" (I put that in quotes because a lot of questions about engine temperature turn out to be normal operation), the list goes on and on.

There is almost nothing new (to the members here about these cars) under the sun.
