Chrysler to Replace '05 Convertible Tops Under TSB - YAHOO!!
Picked up car last Thursday. New top and some new moldings. Drove it home and gave it a bath. Water on top beaded up real well..........then I noticed a 10" seam separation right next to the rear window on the passenger side. Back to the dealer for more pictures and they are now ordering another new top.

Does your car have a "Limited Edition" badge on the front fender?
When I was in Buffalo a couple months ago for a hockey tournamant I parked next to a red Roadster that has these badges on the fenders and I'm just curious if it was CARC's.
Jjray here after talking to everyone at The Dallas speedway meet came back called my local dealer and he had the bulletin but my car top was not installed in the states listed but called Chrysler she had my local take pictures and after receiving them she approved a new top with no,charge to me my dealer called and said bring it in on the 13 of June and drop it off hey sometimes thing work , thanks for the info .
No extra badging. Just a regular Limited. My friend has a special edition same color. Maybe it was his.

Glad to hear you succeded in your request to Chrysler. I hope for the sake of other members of this Forum, this will be an encouragement for them to keep pressing Chrysler to undertake this Manufacturing Flaw on ALL Crossfires, Southern States OR NOT. Mine was covered on my last Crossfire, but was registered in Texas , so was covered by the Recall. However my latest SRT6 may NOT be. I should contact Chrysler and question my coverage OR NOT. A freind of mine is currently in discussions with Chysler regarding his top. ????He is still waiting for a response.

I know its a Bummer, But that is the current situation. Chrysler contacted me, AFTER I had mine done at my own expense, then a Chrysler letter appeared, saying they would re-imburse me for my top. I didn't even know that my car came into the Southern States decision. I feel sorry for all other Crossfire owners, BUT just keep pestering them, they WILL give in eventually.
Had the top replaced today, had some issues with the install, gaskets out of place, rear strap cut in half on one side etc.. The new rear glass is stamped Mopar. Anyone out there willing to take a look at their OEM top and let me know if this is the same? I though Kane had posted that his new top was from Karmann, just like our OEM top. If I remember, the rear glass on the OEM was not stamped Mopar.

mine was damaged in the install and they first said they would fix it, then some jerk called yesterday and said he reviewed it and tthey would not fix it. my door won't close and the top leaks since the new install and they said they did all they are going to do. mine is not even dry rotted, soft and plaiable but it all buckled and split when they put the new top on. i am pissed.
just got off phone with chrysler service rep.gave last 8 of vin. she quickly replied your car is covered. make's momma a happy girl. 5x044512. hope everybody has good luck getting their's replaced.she also gave me a reference # .

Parked mine on Sunday night, but did not put the cover on her. Wife called yesterday and the window was separating, Got home last night and sure enough 3/4 of the window has separated. Of course it is raining today. Thank goodness for shower curtins and tarps. The only good thing is that i had received the letter. Now lets see how long it will take, if the dealer can even do anyghing.
