Eibach Tech Support
I called Eibach tech support yesterday to ask them why their Pro Kit did not lower the rear of my car, but did lower the front. One of his suggestions was that maybe the SRT6 shocks had bump stops in them, witch I ain't buy'in that. Another suggestion was that the top spring cup was too thick, but it was the same thickness as the front, so I a buy'in that one either. His last suggestion was that if I tightened the lower control arm bushings while the car was in the air with the springs extended that could be the problem. This one is a very slim possibility, but I still really don't think so. The rear Eibach springs were about an inch taller than the stock one's and the front was about 1/2" taller than the stock one's. I know that the Eibach spring coils were not as thick as the stock one's, so that didn't concern me when I was putting the in. Does anybody know if the SRT6 shocks have bump stops in them? And does anybody know if the top spring cups are thicker than a regular Crossfire? I'm going to be calling the dealership with these questions sometime today. The tech also said there is no settling time on the springs, and that when you put them in the car is going to drop as far as it's going to as soon as you set it on the ground. EJ this one would be a good one for you, you seem to come up with a lot of spec's for these cars.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions,
Steve

The only thing I can tell you is that he's right about tightening bushings. It is common practice to tighten suspension components with all four wheels on the ground. I even take it a step further by compressing and releasing the suspension a couple of times before tightening it down. You can even have someone sit in the trunk while you tightening it.
IMO that would be the first thing I would try. Good Luck.

Steve, did you double-triple check to make sure that the bottom end piece of the Eibach spring fit perfectly into the car's bottom spring mount groove slot?
I did not remove the rear shock so maybe the bump stop is at the top of the shock mount location inside the trunk.
I noticed that my rear top spring pad was #3. But my rear drop was nearly equal to the front because I have about 60 pounds of stereo equipment in the trunk and the max drop happened right away.

308 is the base/limited 2004-2005
311 is for the non SRT roadster
312 is for the SRT-6
They are pretty much all the same (within a 1/4") of each other in height but very different in density, rebound. I think your problem may be the sway bar -disconnect it and see if the car settles. DO NOT DRIVE THE CAR WITH THE SWAY BAR REMOVED...re-attach, or you may find that you need a shorter linkage.

Man I don't know what to tell you, did Eibach verify that you had the correct springs for your car,
I would ask for free standing height, number of coils, coil diameter and spring rate if you have someone that can measure it.
Did you try AL suggestion to disconnect the sway bar?
Good luck at the dealership today...

Actually I had to pull the sway bar connecter down and jack the lower control arms up as far as they would go to get the bolt back in. I checked the #'s on the springs to make sure they matched the kit, after what I did & seen last night I think it's going to be okay on the rear drop. I might not get the full 1.2" that the kit said, but I think I'll get at least 3/4" drop or more and I'll be satisfied with that. The car's not going to the dealership till the 5th of July for the alignment.
