Mine was a little crooked as well. With my pulley off and face down,I pulled up on the clutch surface side that had the gap. It still had a slight gap which all but disappeared with a few days of use. Mine was not making a rubbing sound after I adjusted it. Mine also had no shims. I needed them though. They just throw them loose in the box I guess. The box wasn't sealed on all edges, so they easily could have come out. Code 3's customer service sucks. But I must say my pulley works great and has given me zero problems.

Well I couldn't sleep without trying to figure this out. Looks like it was the new smooth idler pulley next to the supercharger. Something is not right with it. I could see the belt tracking back and forth from side to side on it and everytime it hit the edge it would make the noise and probally causing the supercharger pulley to rub as well. So I pulled the entire wrap kit off and put the stock belt back on.
As far as I can tell no more noise. Took it for a test spin and was seeing about 18.75 PSI. So I guess brandons claims of .5-.75 boost increase were correct. This faulty idler is probally what caused the belt problems with the first pulley he sent me.
I ran it up to 100 mph. The air was 55 out tonight and my AF ratio was still 11.0-12.5. I really think I could push another 2psi with a smaller pulley and be alright. I'm gonna try to get with Brandon tomorrow and let him know what's going on.

i agree with the others..just get ahold of brandon.

i had the second generation code3 pulley where its rounded all the way and still uses the shims. Except my c32 came with 2-3shims stock. I actually had to take out a shim and the code3 fit perfect with no problems after 7months of use.

Sorry to hear about your problems. I didn't have any trouble with mine, and when I called Brandon to ask a couple questions, he answered right away and was very helpful. I'm sure as soon as you get a hold of him, he'll send you a new pulley.

I'm just trippin on that crappy tooling going on these pulley's now.

Check out the highlighted area. Looks like they are taking a die grinder to these instead of having them notched in the machining process.

Sorry to hear about this. My Code-3 came with shims and I was lucky not to have any problems. Hopefully Brandon will take care of you. Good luck!

I SENT BRANDON A E-MAIL ON 4/13/09 RE: A 1/8" TO A 3/16" GAP BETWEEN THE FACE OF S/C CLUTCH AND THE REAR PLASTIC PLATE OF THE NEW MIDSIZE S/C PULLEY. HE RETURNED MY E-MAIL THE SAME DAY AND ASKED ME HOW MANY SPACERS I USED AND DID THE PULLEY WORK.ON THE EVENING OF APRIL 13TH AT 11:32 PM I SENT ANOTHER E-MAIL SAYING I DID NOT USE ANY SPACERS THATS NOT THE PROBLEM. ITS THE GAP THAT I CAN'T REDUCE BECAUSE IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE MACHINED TO FIT.
TODAY SAT. THE 18TH 4:55 PM EST I STILL HAVE NOT HEARD FROM HIM. I TOLD HIM IN MY LAST E-MAIL THAT THE PULLEY WORKS NOW BUT IT HAS TO BE PUTTING TO MUCH STRESS ON THE PULLEYS PLASTIC BACK PLATE AND I DON'T KNOW HOW LONG IT WILL LAST.I RESENT MY LAST E-MAIL TODAY.
WHEN I INSTALLED THE ORIGINAL 63 MM CODE 3 S/C PUULLEY, IT CAME WITH INSTRUCTIONS THAT THE SPACE BETWEEN THE PULLEY AND THE CLUTCH SHOULD BE 20 TO 30 THOUSANTS.JUST A HEADS UP TO EVERYBODY, FROM WHAT I'M READING AND EXPERENCING THE CODE 3 PULLEYS ARE A PROBLEM AND SO IS THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE.
READY TO PUT ON THE 178 CRANK PULLEY REMOVE THE CODE 3 PULLEY AND SEND IT BACK AND GET A REFUND.LETS SEE WHAT HAPPENS. "PISSED IN N.Y. ILLCYA

sorry to hear this, 'cause he took care of my problem right away, and I haven't had any problems in the 4K miles that it has been on...and I drive her hard when I am out...I keep a spare belt just in case...but belt seems to wearing fine as well...maybe I am just lucky, but I like this pulley...good luck, it will iron out, don't get too upset...we need our custom part makers to stay in business...

It depends on how fast you want to go? Get the 178 if you want to be faster than the SC pulley and 185 guys. Pretty simple. If you just want some extra kick without the pulleys then follow jfire's thread. That will be an interesting setup. Not cheap but reliable since it's not overdriving the SC like the rest of us.

COME ON A LITTLE STRONG WITH THIS ISSUE,BUT
ULTIMATLY I THINK ALL THE MEMBERS OF THE FORUM
SHOULD BE MADE AWARE OF POSSIBLE PROBLEMS WITH A VENDORS PRODUCTS OR CUSTOMER SERVICE.
THAT BEING SAID WE SHOULD ALSO GIVE A VENDOR
CREDIT FOR GOING BEYOND THE CALL OF DUTY. THAT ENDS MY SERMON FOR TODAY. ILLCYA

I recieved an email from brandon the on Tuesday, he said they had a few that were not flat and that it would wear flat if I were to use it, or he can send me a new one.

I asked for a new one. On friday night he sent me another email mentioned he just got some more in and mailed it out to me. I should have it Tuesday. Not as fast of a reply as I would have liked, but not terrible either.

I appreciate his willingness to help me out and send out another as soon as he got them in. Even though IMO the quality control should have prevented this in the first place. I guess this is what happens when there are too many hands in the cookie jar. Hard to keep tabs on everything.

I will update when I get the new one installed.

IMO Aaron caused more problems than its worth. He gave me the run around on my intercooler and when I got tough with him through emails he pawned me off on Brandon saying he was the owner and would have to make the decisions.

It was always "i sent brandon an email, i left brandon a message, its up to brandon, brandon should have got back to you by now"

Whatever. Dont bother talkin with aaron.

BRANDON E-MAILED ME AGAIN,HE SAID THEY ARE DOING AWAY WITH THE
ALUMINUM PULLEYS. HE SAID THEY DUMPED 3G WORTH OF PULLEYS. THEY SWICHED BACK TO STAINLESS STEEL. HE SAID HE WILL GET BACK TO ME WITH SHIPPING INFO.HE SAID THE ALUMINUM PULLEYS WERE SLIPPING TO
MUCH. SO AT THIS POINT I DON'T KNOW WHEN IT WILL BE RESOLVED.I'M GOING TO BE INSTALLING THE 178MM CRANK THIS WEEK, BUT THIS THROWS ALL MY PLANS IN THE DUMPER. TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION I'VE NEVER HAD MY CAR ON A TRACK OR DRAG STRIP BUT I'M THINKING OF TAKING THE CAR TO THE LOCAL DRAG STRIP AND TRY IT.I HOPE THERE'S NO AGE LIMIT, HA HA. I WAS EVEN THINKING ABOUT THE MIR BATTLE BUT BY TIME I GET MY STACKED SETUP ON AND ALL THE PARAMETERS DATALOGGED AND GET A TUNE I'M SURE ALL THIS WON'T HAPPEN IN TIME.
TAKE IT EASY AND ILL POST MY RESOLUTIONS HERE. HEY WHAT MUFFLER
AND TIPS DO YOU HAVE.? THEY LOOK SHARP. HOWS THE SOUND.?ILLCYA

Just go with the 178 and the 93 tune, and if you have the NW intake that's good for low 12's easily at MIR. Not sure you want your first experience at the track with anymore HP or without drag radials. That wall may come at you pretty fast. Get some launches under your belt, then have some fun. Safety first, were trying to preserve the 6's left out there.

This is real depressing. I have the aluminum code 3 pulley. I was going to install it today but can't find a E-11 torx anywhere. I'm going to install it when I find that E-11 and see if it's a good pulley before considering other options. Thanks for the updates on yours.

I found an e11 torx at the local Checker/Orilleys. $21 for a set of 6 or so.
