you have to remember m/b initially said the transmission fluid was a lifetime fluid. after numerous failures they changed to 40,000 mile service. ratings arent always what they seem to be

When I had my repair shops I would tell my customers that the "fluid" is ALWAYS cheaper than the "part" that the fluid is in---ALWAYS!!!! "Overkill?" maybe! But with the price of a new or rebuilt supercharger, the oil change is worth it.
It amazes me that people will change their oil every 3000 miles when the "book" says 7500 miles, but will never change the other fluids that are in or near the same "HOT" engine---just blows my mind. Coolant, brake fluid, power steering fluid, transmission fluid and now supercharger oil in some minds never breaks down or wears at all. Well, it does---so I have always said that if you plan on keeping the car, change all fluids at half the rate of the book---overkill? maybe. But it is cheap insurance, and can NEVER hurt, if the change is done correctly. Jimmy

The "orange" coolant that GM and Toyota used was 150,000 mile fluid when it first came out. It was changed to a more frequent interval for the same reasons. That's my argument: Do you want to find out that you "need" more changes after it is too late to do anything about it other than buy a new part. Or, do you want to change ALL fluids more often and keep the parts clean and in the best order possible?

Problem is here...I bet the dealer has NO idea how to do this and this looks like it's a pretty tense process with exact measurements.

Yes satellite---I too bet the dealer has NO idea. I have found this to be true on many different things on this car---HA!!! As for exact and intense, the video did not look that bad. I'll be doing at 30k---like I said "cheaper than the part that the oil is in." It can not be that hard, but I will see and post when I do.

Tools & Mats needed:
-E10 & E12
-largest syringe you can find , 100CC if possible
-12 inch r/c car fuel tubing or similar that can be attached to the tip of the syringe
- 1 bottle of A000 989 62 01 Supercharger Oil ( ONE bottle is all we need! ) Cost of oil is 60 dollars
- Some pipe thread white stuff, not sure what that is called ( see pics)

1) Use E10 to take off the secondary air pump plumbing brackets

2) Use E12 to take off the small pulley next to the SC ( if you still have one )

3) Use E10 to turn the belt tensioner to take off the belt

4) On the front of the SC and on the left side is a small hole with a screw,
you need to unscrew that , You should put some rags below it cause the oils might flow out and it really stinks.

5) Use a syringe to suck up the oil, this way you know how much was still in your SC to begin with. You will have to suck a few times to get all of it out.

6) Purge all oil from the syringe and tubing

7) Pour the new oil directly into the syringe ( as shown in the video ) and pump it in slowly. Repeat until the whole bottle is in. You might want an extra pair of hands to help you hold the syringe. YouTube - Replacing Supercharger Oil on C32

8) Thread the sc plug with white piping film

9) Screw the plug back into the SC until its tight. The plug should be a bit lower than flush to the sc

10) reinstall piping, brackets and make sure your belt is all lined up

11) start engine and check for to see if everything is in order.
Does this drain and replace the oil for the rear S/C bearings as well?
