It's not like wavetrac popped up last night. All of these cars have a weak rear end. I bet if you took yours down the road you can hear the whine it puts out.
Now if you want to be one of the safe guys and wait until everyone else puts there money in to push things forward. Then go right ahead, but for Gods sake please quit trying to police the forum. We're all big boys and can spend our money how we want to.

I am not trying to police the forum.... I am just saying that I have seen this a million times (and I am not just talking about sideskirt fiasco). 90% of the time these deals end bad in some way shape or form because you can't please everybody! And I don't want to read a thread with 300 posts about how 80% of the people that gave a deposit had to wait a year and are not happy with what they got. Then when the item arrived it didn't work right.
But you are correct. I should probably just keep my mouth shut and let everyone figure it out for themselves.

Thirteendog: Your above listed quote,,,, Nothing worse than a whine from a weak rear end

Updated list. Sorry I was out of town on vacation for a couple weeks.
Also, this unit will work in an N/A car also. The carrier assembly and housing are the same as the SRT. Since you are using your OEM ring and pinion it will work on either.

I looked at their site as you recommended when I asked earlier and still did not find any kind of warranty or any mention of HP recommendations for this unit. I know it has worked for different rears in the past with more HP than most of us have, but I don't think it will be the same rear, or they wouldn't have to be making them. Are there any straight forward answers to these questions? If not, that is cool. I can understand that with a semi-custom made part, but I would like to know before.
copy from their web site.

WHats the count of confirmed interested people so far??
Iam working on another path but still have enough interest to maybe throw in to the group and make the 20 count even if it is to save and resell to an outlier. Woody

spoke with devin and heres what i was told.
deposit of 550$ by credit card. no money will be taken until the 10 deposits are given. until then he is just holding the card numbers on a list and will contact you when he has enough deposits to start the diff build from autotech.
bench install from devin will be in the 225$ area with a turnariunf time of 24 hrs!! shipping of course not inc. in the price or the time.
when he has 7 deposits he will contact autotech and try to get the first unit started so the sooner the deposits are in the sooner this ball gats rolling!!! lets go everyone its closer than ever!
ballpark timeframe is 5 weeks for the initail build then test fitting and running . then 30 to 90 days for the rest of the units to be built and shipped

i've been eying this SOOOOO hard.... but simply don't have the funds available at this moment in time....building up an LS1 is expensive too!
Will it be possible to simply purchase one at the group buy price after testing is completed? (I should be getting deployed again soon, so that means money money money!....and a sad girlfriend....but my car will love me
