Show me a 3/4 wrap. Mechanically the smaller the pulleys the less wrap you can get. With the 62mm set up it is really impractical to get 66% so 75% is not really possible. Small pulleys eat belts.

I am open to new ideas though.

And you know this from experience in running one on your car? I have ran a 65 for 4 yrs now...on the same belt without a PSK, although the roadster is getting one. I have over 2500 miles on the 62 without any issues so far. Not even belt dust with a PSK... We have done the 1/2 mile event with it and several hard runs while dialing in the tune. On the other note, of belt raps. Robs is the only one I really trusted to hold up under the stress of what I do. I liked tighed1's cheap belt rap and have the parts to do it, but after seeing the stress put on that 1 grade 8 bolt, I decided to go with Rob's set up. Just my take on it. But, I haven't had any belt issues at all. I keep spares around but haven't had to use them.

I am talking about the claimed 75% wrap which is not possible in practicality.Your post does not address that at all. Or are you claiming a 75% wrap? You are talking about something that I made no mention of, I guess you misread or misunderstood what I said.

A 75% and greater wrap is possible on larger pulleys, but at this size it becomes nigh on impossible. You just have to use your imagination to see the problem.

I get a pretty decent wrap with latemodel21's pulley kit:

That is good but this is a diagram of a 75% wrap.

I never claimed it was a 75% wrap. If I had the stock pulley, it would probably come close.

I know you didn't claim 75%.
To get 75% the pulleys have to be as close as I show them. As pulley #1 moves away from pulley #2 75% becomes impossible.
I do not have to do it on my car to know these things as some say.

ONLY responding your comment that small pulleys eat belts...I don't see anyone getting a 75% wrap. Isn't enough room... I wouldn't think you would want that much of a wrap anyway. I would think that would eat belts...

On a side note, I have had this setup for over three months and have not noticed one bit of slippage.

see attached - it would appear you are lucky to get 60% (214deg) with a PSK on a 62mm, let alone 75% (270deg)

With Rudy's assistance AND the assistance of forum member LENIN, I have been in contact with the original manufacturer of Rudy's 62mm Karmen supercharger pulleys. They have only two (brand new) remaining available. They have offered them to me for $650.00 each (the same price as Rudy's original group buy). I want to buy one of them. Does anyone want the other one?? PM me or e-mail me directly at RedDogNumber1@aol.com. THANKS . . .

PS - Rudy has no interest in coordinating another group buy on these pulleys. The manufacturer is willing to produce another run of them but we would need to gather buyers for at least ten pulleys to make it worthwhile for them to run more production. Let me know if you want to join in another group buy and I will spearhead the effort.

what makes these better than the 62mm pulleys being sold from EC for $500?

there is a lot of information you can review but basically some of the EC pulleys are falling apart . . . read through this thread . . .

We should not alarm anybody unnecessarily. EC sold over 150 61mm pulleys and if all of them were falling apart it would not stay a secret for too long. It was acknowledged by EC that the first batch had some issues. That said, there are significant differences in quality and the choice of materials used with the Karmen being superior over EC. Additionally the choice of a smaller bearing allows for a thicker walls on the pulley itself which in turn makes it a safer version in the long run.

I don't want to go as small as a 62mm or 61mm.

But if someone is looking to recoupe some funds from their 65mm, I would throw you some cash.

Count me in if the group buy is at $650.00 (or less?)

Those two remaining pulleys that the manufacturer had are now sold. I bought one and another forum member responded to take the other.

I am still willing to coordinate another group buy as the manufacturer is willing to produce another run if we can get 10 buyers. Post here if you are interested.

The manufacturer also told me that his next batch can include a special "friction coating" on the grooved part of the pulley for better belt grip (possibly eliminating the need for more belt wrap).

Well, I have a 65mm, but a little hesitate to let it go right now. I believe my 62mm will be just fine now that I have ran it through it paces. Testing, testing, testing...lol.
It would have to be a good offer for me to let it go if serious. Just PM me if interested.
