Standard, LED, and HID Lamp Solutions and Numbers
Just installed the xeon lights for hi and low and the hi beams are in the trees. Can't get them adjusted down at the road. The side lights seem ok. This is on an 2004. Can't see well at all and am considering the dealer visit! Help!
I would guess that the bulbs are not seated correctly. The bulb must fit squarely in the mount, there is an indexing tab that is sometimes a problem to align, release the spring clip and use a small mirror and some needlenose pliers to get them aligned.
If your in the trees.. it almost sounds like your 180 degrees off on the bulb rotation? Haven't messed with my high beams, but installing my HID's I had the slot lined up to the tab (on the bottom of the bulb flange) but just missed getting it flat in it's seat.. it was shining about 5 ft in front of me on the ground.
ive mentioned on other posts but , i own my own led/hid lighting company , i just got this crossfire , i will experiment with it and see what i can come up with , and if any of you need any lights , you can talkto me! haha not a complete shameless plug
I took the correct info from the original post about the bulb fittings and went ahead and orderd SMD Bulbs for my fogs. Currently I am a student in an automotive program (Honda Pact) and were are in our electronics portion of the term. My teacher had informed me that there have been many cases where people have burned down their cars by putting in bulbs not drawing enough amperage through aftermarket SMD or LED bulbs. HAS ANYONE HAD THIS ISSUE?? please reply before I report an incident of my car burning down!! I don't want to have to splice and solder a resistor if not necessary. My light out indicator is lit but is easy to ignore unless my car is on fire. THANK YOU!
A piece of black electrical tape over the warning lamp is a simple fix.
It's free and reversible.
For you old guys its the same method we used to fix the blinking 12:00 on our vcr's

if its giving you a code , its not the right led for your car, ive dealt with it before , like i said hopefully when i get home i will mess with it ,we have special lights designed to not make it throw a code or blink at you. as far as fires ? ive been doing this for years and have never had a fire due to an LED , they will die before they cause a fire

so tonight i replaced my interior lights with leds (really bright ones) and license plate lights , and no codes or flickering to report, everything is actually quite stable and the car looks absolutely great now! next will be the eye brow lights i cant get too and HIDs as well as reverse lights, its coming along beautifully ! LED headlamps , for our cars at least are a ways away as primary lights
Any exterior marker lights should be CAN Bus compatible LED bulbs. The sell those now on www.superbriteleds.com They even have CAN Bus compatible brake lights which look awesome.

haha like i said , i have my own lighting company so i typically avoid buying from the competition! thanks time lord though! yep , mercedes would want can bus, although the license plate lights didnt seem to mind
Yup, still around and kicking. Been busy with work and filling my engine mounts with Polyurethane.
I understand there to be VERY few actual LED manufacturers, but TONS of resellers...
thank you onehundred80! haha .there are many resellers, i focus on designing them , or conjuring things up and get them built for me in quantities of my choosing if the price is viable lol , there are tons of resellers!
So far I only find Amber, Red and White in the CAN Bus Compatible LED bulbs. Granted these are usually on the exterior and that's the main market, but I use UV on the corner markers in my headlight lenses.
