Signage
Tables / chairs (they already said we could use some of theirs)
Bathrooms (they have bathrooms inside but they may have some portajohns as well -- or we may need some)
Audio / Music (we are going to set something up aren't we -- so we can use a mic for announcements) - If someone has a good system we can use I won't have to ask them
Access to power (shouldn't be an issue but just want to check)
Food / Water / Soda (Do we want to sell dogs / burgers? or other food?) - They do have food / drinks (cheese / meat boards etc in the wine tasting area and I don't want to infringe on their sales - so if we want to do something easy / simple let me know - for I'd want to respect this aspect of things for them)

There's more, but you get the idea. Do you want me to call and set up a time? I'll ask about weekend dates if available. When? May? June?

Let me know.
Good points Paul, I would stray away from "selling" food at the show. At the most, COM should have a barrel or cooler of (free) water for participants but I would encourage participants to patronize the winery's refreshment stands. The winery will thank us later. Paul, if you know the layout of the car show grounds would it be possible for you to "mark up" a showfield diagram for our event(i.e. which classes are placed where, registration booth, sign placement, etc.)? I suggest we place a poster board/sign with the class and Chrysler product equivalent vehicle on the sign as well. WE HAVE TO ASSIGN A MEMBER TO EACH CLASS to ensure proper placements.

I agree with Chas I think we will have enough on our plate for our first event removing food from our responsibility is a good idea. Once we get closer to the event I can provide # of cars in each class so if need be we can rearrange show field placement of classes.
By the way we are up to 6 registrations so far.

-we will need a table or two for registration, and maybe some chairs. we all have those camping chairs, and we dont supply chairs to the people that come to the show, so we should be good with what the winery has for us to use.
-We will have to talk to them about the bathrooms, they may not be able to put portajohns on the lot since they are an active vineyard.
-i have a buddy that at one time was a DJ, not sure if he still does, or has equipment. I'll talk to him and see. he may still at least have a PA.
-signage, we dont need much, just a couple of signs that say "car show <-----" and something to set up the classes.
-food/drink. if we are allowed to have something we would have to contact a place that wants to grill up all the food for the show. if anyone knows of a place that wants to supply food we can let them set up after giving a donation to the charity......the food people would be able to keep all the money they make. this is of course if the winery would allow it. i think the charity brings sodas and water to events as a fund raiser.
-as far as when i can go visit....the weekend of may 19/20 is mason dixon, i can be at the winery saturday, but not sunday. May 26/27 we have friends visiting, and ill have to stay around the house. my brother is coming out to visit in june sometime.......but i can drag him to a winery, so thats no problem. just let me know.

cool, you guys posted alot while i was typing. ok so no food unless the winery supplies something. we can talk to them and see if they want to supply the normal wine tasting snacks, or do something more. I have noticed that they are talking about our show on their website and FB page. seems like they are excited.

Recently re-posted on driveSRT due to some conversations in NYC. If you have a facebook account....visit the link and "like" it. FYI, a lot other media and automotive moguls review "liked" posts. One click means a lot towards furthering the Crossfire reunion with Chrysler.

I'm going to submit our logo to CICCI so they can get a banner made up for us. I'm using the logo that is on our stickers and business cards, unless anyone has any objection to that logo.

Guys,

I contacted the winery and sent a compressed image of our flyer. They are going to get it posted soon. Just updated the web so they should be able to get it up now.

Jason, I'm checking into dates for a meeting on logistics. I'll post you later.

How many registrations do we have so far? Any updates?

I went to Laytonsville last Friday night for their weekly Cruise-in and passed out flyers. Most of the ladies there were very interested -- due to the it being at a winery!!!

Hope all is well.

We have 6 regristrations so far. WE NEED MORE I wonder if people are waiting because we did not do an upcharge for registering day of event.
Paul please do me a favor when you go to Winery for show car layout, make sure the rescue is able to bring dogs to event.
They have an x-pen so the dogs will not be running loose and we will pick up after them.

I wouldnt worry about it too much. the show is 4 months away. people want to see what plans they have and what the weather will be like before preregistering. people dont want to spend the money and then 4 months from now forget about it. we should really start seeing the registrations increase in july. and well i keep forgetting to send mine in hahahaha.

there are some changes at CICCI regarding regional clubs. you guys hop over to CICCI's site when you can. no big changes, they are just going to do more for the members that are putting on shows and events. they will be providing money, a banner and CICCI goodie bags to regional groups that put on shows. you just have to show your membership card to get the bag'o'swag. if you are not part of CICCI please do so before our event. you dont want to miss out onthe mystery goodie bag.

You got a CARD I didn't get one, when I signed up. I guess when I renew in Carlise at the all Chrysler show I'll ask for one.

I suggested and upcharge for day of the event but I believe it was rejected. It's still really early on though so I wouldn't worry.

WRT the dogs, I checked on that before we secured the winery and the dogs are no problem. The only time they don't allow them is during their festivals.........so we are good to go on that. The X-pen will be good to show them off.

Keep handing out flyers!!!
