Shuriken Light Weight Battery Kit
I like that tank, might have to look at that. Looks better than the simple tank I have. Just wish winter would go away. Just too cold in the garage to work here. It's 7 outside.

High density EVA material would be lighter.... or, what is that material that you use? If you'd like one, send me a piece and I'll see how well it routes. Make it 7"x10 11/16". Also, if and when I do the tank and pump addition, I'd be cutting out more of the material to recess these to key into place.

I'm definitely not interested in producing these 32Krazy, I was on Dina's hit list for a while with the stinking mess I made. Hopefully Rob does a lighter weight version of this. If not, and you want the heavy duty 11/16" version like I made for myself; I could maybe make a couple for ya'll. I've got a whole 4'x6' sheet of it. Using it now to stand on in front of work bench on the concrete floor. Bob
Sorry Rob, I'm sure you had that all figured out. As a Contractor, I'm just so use to explaining in full detail so nothing gets missed. I'm sending dimensions out to you tomorrow.

1st autocross of the season is Feb 13th, so I'll post up some pics when I've got everything in. And mine is not the sideways version, just the straight away normal version.
I simply used a nylon battery strap similar to the ones used to wrap around marine battery housings on my Odyssey PC680MJ, which is close to the same size, weight and shape as the Shuriken. Driven daily for over a year and hasn't moved at all. Odyssey also makes a variety of hold-downs and brackets that might give you some different ideas.

I agree, D. I actually like your custom better and the Shuriken has a higher cranking amp rating (850) then the Odyssey (680) and is less expensive. I went with the Ody for it's time tested ruggedness with military use. I've also seen these types of batteries mounted behind or under the seats, freeing up the battery well for other mods (intercooler tanks and the like). Just throwing out some food for thought.
That's what's so great about this Forum. Everyone tossing in different ideas and sharing is how things progress and happen. I've learned so much here in a very short period of time, and it has saved a lot of us a lot of money and grief. I was very happy to contribute, as simple as the battery pad may be, because I've gotten so much from here. Bob
Edit: SyFi, I just gave out your suggestion on another thread about our skinny batt.'s behind the seats. He needs full size batt. but would like the space for meth. I suggested using 2 of the skinny's behind seats.

Way Kool, Bobbo. I saw some time back where one of these was mounted on the wall behind the seat with a homemade aluminum bracket. Couple of bends on the sides, couple of weld tacks for the bottom bend, and presto. Was lined with thin foam rubber to deaden any rattles. And the neat thing is you don't have to worry about LEAKAGE!
I just got this battery as a Christmas present but have not installed it yet and I happened across this thread. Seems ya'll have figured it out already. Rob, I am interested in the pad as well. Well done guys.
