battery drain
I've had a battery drain for 5-6 years. Never really bothered me because i seldom drive it. I have a quick disconnect for the terminal i use.. Well after 5-6 years of procrastination i disconnected ( aka- cut the wire ) to the alarm today. Hopefully that was the problem. I'll let you know in a week. I really don''t feel i need the alarm since I've lived without for soo long. Not sure why people bother replacing them??
Did you remove the connection under the cowl in front of the windshield? What wires did you cut? If the alarm siren itself is still plugged in it will probably continue to short.
Thanks zero. I did remove cowl and cut the only wire leading to the alarm. Hopefully that works. I'll know soon enough.

Crap, I'll see what happens. I was just being lazy. 5 minute job taking wipers and cowl off so no big deal if I have to do it again. Thanks
Thanks for input all. Battery drain is gone. I can't believe I waited this long to do a 10 minute fix. Per the number of connections I believe where I cut the wire it was bundled and that took care of all the wires.
