Hello, this is my first post, I'm am sorry if I am posting this in the wrong place but I really need help. I have a Crossfire that has been sitting in storage since 2018, but the car was in good shape when we put it in, about 45k miles when we put it in the garage. Recently I decided to get it running so I bought a new battery and installed it, the car started without any problems and EVERYTHING worked (with the exception of the spoiler but I'm not worried about that right now) Some problems I notice right away are; Check Engine, Brake Wear, Tire Pressure lights. This isn't that big of a deal to me, engine running smooth as silk, i had replaced most fluids so it had to be a minor issue, break wear light, just need new brake pads, and the tires needed aired up (im assuming the fixes to these problems, if this is more problematic than i think please let me know.) I do a short test drive to dump off a bag of trash and drive back, no issues. Left of steering wheel Right of steering wheel
This is when it hits the fan. I park outside of my garage and start doing some work on it, cleaning out the inside, putting in new window washing fluid (its leaking, please help with that too if you can) and cleaning wipers. It starts getting late so i go to put it up and continue working tomorrow, I start it up and a whole bunch of funny new lights appear (pics attached) these were not on before, I press down on the break pedal and it press normally, but I cant change gear, its locked in park. I put the cover on it and started googling when i found this site. Any help appreciated, thanks!
For clarity, BRAKE, ABS, BAS-ESP are the new lights
Have you tried disconnecting the ground lead on the battery for a minute then reconnecting? I don't know if it will fix your problem. Just a suggestion.
Also you can check here and see if your problem is listed: https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...s-repairs.html
You might also want to try posing in this in the lighting or interior section You might get more views there.

DId some diagnosing and spoke to a mechanic friend of a friend, said it was probably a bad alternator. the alternator is indeed not out putting the correct amount of power, which i read (dont know how true it is) that that could mess up the sensors

It is easy to read a post and miss the obvious, I do it all the time. BUT, for some reason, I saw that statement while others didn't.
Use the special tool that came with the car (or a slim flat blade screwdriver) and shift from Park and drive the car. If the speedometer does not move at all when you drive, order a new RCM.
If the speedometer works fine, we have a lot more investigation to do.

How do you know the alternator is bad? WHat is your battery voltage with the engine running?
I think, as I said, your Traction Control Relay output from the RCM is the problem.
Driving the car and observing the speedometer will confirm if this is the case. The speedo does not work if the traction control output is not there.
If the speedo works, then I might go along with the low voltage/bad alternator/bad battery cables/open block to chassis cable kind of suggestions.

Speedometer works, when the vehicle is off the battery has 12.6 volts, when the vehicle is on it goes to 14
