No start/anti theft issue
This is possible and my key has not opened the doors automatically for a while. The alarm was tripped a couple times while connecting and reconnecting the battery in an attempt to get it to start the last couple days. Putting key in ignition turned alarm back off. Also my spoiler has been going up and down at random for a month or two. I think that is all the strange behavior. I'm going to work on the key today because I think it's the least expensive next option. If anybody has any ideas or suggestions. This is my only car and I I'm stuck until I get it fixed. I also have limited funds so the DIY, least expensive fix must be attempted first. I appreciate you all!
The spoiler going up an down, was because of the battery. The joke is, its a built in battery tester. The doors not Woking, is possible, a bad battery in the key fob. Mr miata, was asking about your case thinking, maybe it came apart, an your chip has fallen out ( if not he'll chime back in.) If you replace fob batteries , you have to resynthesize it to the car. Here a word of caution. Don't just keep resetting the battery over an over, there has be a horror story of ,30 tries at that an it fried the ECU.

Ok. I'll leave the battery alone for now and get new fob batteries today. I will get the proper instructions to resync it as well. I'm sure it has not come completely apart and lost the chip but very possible battery or programming issue. Could this solve my no start issue?

yes, sounds like a skreem module issue. do you have a second key to try with? if not, your on borrowed time only having 1 key for the car!
submitted more skreem and key orders already this morning to Chrysler, they are still accepting orders for them.

With all the trouble these have given lately maybe we should have one available for use in our spares.
Electronic modules fail when a 10 cent component gives up the ghost, costing much time and money wasted. It may prove to be a wise investment in the very near future, or it may sit unused until doomsday, who knows.
Steve was correct on where my question was heading and "hoping".. Like I said that was the one thing we hadn't touched base over.. And I actually "tired" of the won't start.. change fob batteries advice on facebook.. and did a video of starting the car with clearly showing no batteries in my fob.. LOL.
Ditto what 180 said. Perhaps it it time for a some genius (compliment) to try to figure out how to repair or bypass the screem. One of these days Chrysler will stop providing them and there will be a lot of Crossfires heading for the salvage yard in the sky because of lack of critical parts. This one is most concerning because it must be programmed to the car so there will probably be no aftermarket manufacturers.
I wonder who manufacturers it for Chrysler? Figuring out a way to repair them, if possible would be the best option.

It is obviously not rocket science but obviously the equipment and programming knowledge is required.
OK Well its been 3 days now and I am still stuck in my work parking lot. I am feeling really overwhelmed and not sure exactly what I should do next or focus on. I could spend the entire day learning about modules and keys and programing. I put new batteries in my fob and followed the instructions for re-sync and it did nothing. It still does not lock the doors (that has been the case for a while but it still started my car). I have tried every fuse/battery trick I can find here and get the same result everytime. I get two more full cranks followed by nothing. I am in the process of getting a code reader to see if that will clearly light the path and tell me exactly what the issue is. I realize the SKREEM is most likely going to need replaced but I am concerned how long it will take to get it as well as the cost. Can anyone advise how difficult it is to put in when I get a new one? Any other details I need that may seem obvious but are not to me....will I need a new key also? Will there be any programing required or will my car just start? I'm struggling here, any help is appreciated..
assuming the skreem is the culprit. it will be plug n play and ready to start the car right out of the box. the only resyncing of the key is for the keyless lock/unlock functions.
if you want to get a head start, begin pulling out your instrument cluster so you can swap the skreem and antenna ring and get the car driving again. a shop would probably charge 3 hours to swap in the skreem/antenna while taking their time and experience to not damage any of your dashboard. check the how-to for the sticky key fix as it shows you how to get in there and put it back together.

They are on back order and may take weeks. When you order you have to send a copy of your registration and your driver license to Needwings or to a dealer, if you choose to go that route. The screem must be programmed to your car in advance and the registration and I.D. is to be sure it is not a stolen car.
I know you have a limited budget but the only way I see forward for you is to have it towed home where you can work on it or until you get the part and have someone else put it in. The longer you wait to order the part the longer it will take to get.
You may have to borrow or rent a vehicle until it is fixed or use public transportation.

🤔 I don't know, after going back and Reading Post Number One, I'm going to swim against the current, I'm not liking the skreem for this, I think you should be looking at the RCM.
tighed1 knows the RCM inside and out and all of its workings maybe he will chime in.

Second clue.. "almost starts and dies"
Take the RFID chip out of your fob if you'd like first hand experience.

I had the same symptoms (3 "almost starts and dies") with my SRT. I took the RCM out of my N/A and put it in the SRT. Same 3 "almost starts and dies". I then took the SRT RCM and put it in N/A to see if it was bad. N/A started right up. Ordered a new Skreem.
