New Wheels in, need help
From looking at the pictures I'd say your 1" lower, or more, than I am. I think you'll find that the sway bar is hitting the seam of the body and since it can't go up any more the links end up hitting the bar also. I believe your going to have to grind a semicircular relief in that seam on each side and even then you could have some occasional banging back there. I have my K&W's as high as they go and I still get an occasional banging at the track. Yes, I ground the seam, just not enough.

you were right on the money Les. I took it all apart again last night to finally install my SS brake lines and the IC pump and saw where it was hitting the body seam. New spring pads for the rear (from 3 dot to 4 dot) are in today and will be installed tonight after grinding the seam for the sway bar. I also saw where it was still contacting the adjustable camber arm even after lengthing the sway bar length one full turn from the original 7 1/4" length.
I'll follow up in a day or so.
Thanks Les!

so I just found out that the rear spring pads are smaller in diameter than the fronts...... Wrong size pads, need to return and re-order
Where I got mine. http://www.performanceproducts4benz....pring-pad.html
Front:
A 210 321 01 84 (5mm)
A 210 321 02 84 (9mm)
A 210 321 03 84 (13mm)
A 210 321 04 84 (17mm)
A 210 321 05 84 (21mm)
Rear:
A 210 325 01 84 (5mm)
A 210 325 02 84 (9mm)
A 210 325 03 84 (13mm)
A 210 325 04 84 (17mm)
Ooooo. Yep, different sizes. The tallest they make for the rear are dot 4 where you can get a dot 5 for the front. I ...... dare I admit it ........ why not. I sliced some spare dot 3's and put them under the dot 4's to raise the rear and went racing. DUMB! But nothing bad happened. Then I just "did it" and went with the K&W's. Just so you know, if the 4's are still too short you can work around the problem, if necessary.

I had read through numerous threads about this already but didn't snap to it for some reason.... I can't even get past the stinking suspension much less all the other mods that I NEED.

Just remember, you can't mess up to the point that you have no outs. If you cut too much it's not hard to find SRT take offs. If your not going to be driving 10/10ths you can stack a trimmed pad with another one. The spring won't be deep into the cup and will make you nervous but it's a short term work around. As low as your car looks, a bit of adjusting is to be expected. Don't fret about it. The more I work on my car (self inflicted) the more comfortable I am doing it.

I finally got the suspension to the right height front and back. I ended up with 4 dots on the rear and 5 dots on the front and although it is not as low as I would like it the rubbing is mostly gone even with aggresive driving.
So to sum it up;
Front-
TSW Max 19"X8.5" et 43mm with 12mm hubcentric spacers for an effective 31mm offset, wrapped in 245/35ZR19. The OEM springs were cut 7/8 of a coil and 1" off the shock bumper and 5 dot spring pads.
Rear-
TSW Max 20"X10.5" et 40mm offset with 15mm hubcentric spacers for an effective 25mm offset, wrapped in 285/30ZR20. The OEM springs had 1 full coil cut off and 1" off the shock bumper with 4 dot spring pads. MikeR adjustable camber arms and sway bar links with modification to the body seam to allow increased upward travel of the sway bar.
I still hear a little creaking from the back that was not there before the suspension modifications that I am still trying to chase down.

hey guys looking to get a new wheels. I am looking to keep oem tires front:225/40/18
rear:255/35/19. the wheels specs are as follows: 18x8.5 offset of 30 in front and 19x9.5 with offset of 34 in rear. Do you guys think it will fit without causing any rubbing issues especially the rear wheels using stock tires?
