Well, I finally got my MINI back, so now I can take the Crossfire off the road and get the diff installed. Of course, Murphy's law strikes: my mechanic is going on vacation tomorrow.
So I just might be able to get it all ready to race by the time the race season is over. LOL

wife put the wavetrac to a torture test last night, 60's were 1.63, 1.66, 1.67, 1.69. this was 1/8 mile racing her best et was 7.54@93 which was faster then the 1/8mile times on her 11.8 1/4m pass. DA was 6700.
Wavetrac = fast 60',,, yours 60' are great. What tires are you running,,, With my 255 50 16 MT ET streets, i can not get traction.

we had to sell her et streets because they would not hook with her spraying out of the hole. radial tires dont like to be shocked, so we swapped to bias plys.

I fixed your statement. I don't believe spraying out of the hole(or at all) should count as that is why it ran so quick. I'm sure the wavetrac helped but I bet those 60's wouldn't be so low off the bottle.
PS I would love to be proven wrong here.
i think your correct, her best 60' off bottle was 1.71 with new diff. with better air i believe 1.5x is possible with spray.
i forgot to say i also vht her tires before races.

Good to know. I'm not trying to be an azz.........I just want a fair and even comparison of stock vs. PG vs. wavetrac(off the bottle since most don't spray).
I personally ran 1.69 60' with PG on 255/60 16 Hoosier DRs with no bottle or spraying anything on the tires......and can pretty consistently cut 1.70-1.72's

I'll be posting my impressions a little later today as I just got back from a track day. The car is much, much more predictable at the limits of traction and as confidence grows the times drop. The biggest difference the Wavetrac makes is in the ungodly fast and insane G force maneuvers. If your brave enough to go there you will be rewarded.

OK, my mechanic can't get the axles out to remove the diff from my SRT-6. Apparently the instructions he got from his online mechanic's database don't match my car.
Anyone have good directions in a hurry? Preferably with pictures.
Does anyone know if the directions in the service manual (post in the documentation thread) are good?

Here are the images I took when swapping mine out. The picture with the bolts are what I needed to remove from each side (so he will have twice as many altogether). I folded out the brakes downward and removed the rear diff with the axles still in it. once on the ground we then pulled the axles out of the diff.
We will also need to remove the catback exhaust and disconnect the driveshaft at the rubber connection (3 bolts there)
This method of removing/reinstalling did not require me to get an alignment afterwards.

Just so that I'm clear...
The axles just pull out of the diff. I don't have to mess with any clip rings, right?
