Let's discuss the key fob transponder chip(s)
Moore2575 . Sir I never once called you a troll . I treated you with respect and begged for help. I was kind and thanked you many times. I am not mean or have the bully mean girl attitude. I begged you for help with this key issue . But never got a response after asking you to see why they chose not to help me . I had sent you several private messages and you did not respond back after the 3 or 4 contacts. I said I would not bother you if you chose not to bother contacting me which I stopped . But you are right this could have a great deal for those of us needing keys. I was more angry at the key shop than you Sir because all you could do is lead me to the source you couldn't help it they chose not to help me
Got ya I wanted make clear it was not Me . I want friends not enemies . Anyone who treats me with respect gets it back . I look for people who are willing to help me and in turn I am forever grateful and am willing to help back .
Thanks Don for clearing this up . Enjoy your weekend
[QUOTE=Jim Holian;916301]Gentlemen - The original question still remains unanswered. See "Red Dog's" original question about the chips in his first posting on this subject. Does anyone have an answer for him, or the rest of us?
Someone else asked I believe it was CL770, in reply # 8, if anyone has used the new transponder chips listed on ebay and the tool that is also listed for programming them. I can't see that anyone answered that question either. Does anyone have an answer?
I'm not being super critical, just wondering if anyone has any answer's to these questions.
Jim
I have a contact who reprogrammed a used immobilizer and key fob to work on my car with a new blade.
I had a previous blade he was able to duplicate.
He was also able to make me a spare key with a new chip , just without the fob. I can manually lock and unlock and start my car with this key.
The coat was around 300 bucks.
ABLE locksmith in Pensacola Fl. His name is Brian.
hope this helps .

I called these people they said they helped you but were not willing to help anyone else. I was so disgusted and furious they pick and choose who they wish to help. The key company said it was hard to get keys and cost to much to reproduce . I think we are all screwed when it comes to these dam keys 😡😡😡
I've had to tell customers the same thing, "We tried it once, we won't bother again."
As you probably know, the cost of getting a new key fob for Crossfires has skyrocketed. Further we are advised that soon they will not be available at all. As you probably also know, there is a little "transponder chip" in the key fob that must be matched to your SKREEM module (or immobilizer) in your car for it to start and run properly. Accordingly, you cannot just simply purchase a new or used key fob from E-Bay (or where ever) install your key blade or a newly cut key blade and have it work to start / run your car. You must also have the correct transponder chip to match your car's electronic anti theft system.
I recently bought several brand new Crossfire key fobs with uncut key blades. These all have a transponder chip inside. Looking at a few of those transponder chips I see that each has three lines of information printed on it.
The first line is: PCF 7930AS This is the same on all of the transponder chips I examined . . .
The second line on the chips is different on the chips I have examined. Examples are: VAUX30 07 and VAUX30 09
The third line on the chips is also different on the chips I have examined. Examples are
nD4182 and DnD5132
Which information identifies that particular transponder chip? How many different transponder chips might there be??
If anyone has information / knowledge to add here about these transponder chips, please share your expertise here . . .

That would't work because in the skreem are the rf codes who are on the rf part is stored prestored so no other original rf will open your car or can be teached to work on your skreem.
Viper, Chris, pretty sure Chris is right. IF you use the OEM FOB key RFID chip (paired with the OEM Veh SKREEM), in a replacement FOB circuit board and case, that SHOULD work to start/lock/unlock/alarm the car as normal.
.
I think it should work if the data on the EEPROM of the damaged board is not deleted and you solder this EEPROM to the other board. But I don't know if this really work.
Hello all!
I am new to this forum as I just recently purchased my first Crossfire. I thumbed through this thread and I felt like I should post this to see if anyone else has noticed it. My car came with only one key. The case is in rough shape so I bought a new one with an uncut key blade. I had it cut and I put the electronics from the original fob in it. I was just fiddling around in the garage the other day and something rolled underneath the car. The original (empty) fob was lying on the work bench so I just instinctively grabbed it. It wasn't until I was already out of the garage that I realized the car started WITHOUT the guts inside the fob! The new one was in the house! So, how did this happen? I thought that the cars security system wouldn't have allowed it.

If you change the transponder from the defective key fob into a used other key fob with the key blades you can of course open/close the car with the key in the door lock and start the car. But the rf part will not work and you aren't able to teach a used other rf controll to your existing skreem. How I sayed in the skreem are 8 transponders and 8 rf Codes prestored.

Here’s another:
Here’s one way to do all of which we’ve been trying forever: Link
However, I need to do this right now lol. And much cheaper so I have decided to share all of this in hopes that we can really figure this out.
I have more info if anyone wants to know, just ask.
Welp the comments ran dry and the interested parties involved are antsy, so we're all in. Next week I'll be figuring out the learning curve and soon after taking orders for spares/generating from scratch. I'm not sure what I'll be looking for in the Motorolla for fixing the SKREEM but after I have that figured out I'll let you guys know.

You understood what I mean. And thanks to share your findings. I have a KR55 Programmer and can make functional keys with it (with their blank keyfobs) but a lot people think they can make the rf part of a used XF key from a other car work with her car.

I thought that was possible? The DAS2b is send/receive for 315mhz and can sync?
If not, what’s the idea for circuit boards? I saw that Xhorse sells universal fobs, I wonder if we get a similar style if it will work.
Ref the recent post from Mikey208. Like Mikey, I bought my XF recently (September 2020). It came with only one Key/Fob which was not in good shape - the spring for the key blade is broken so I have inserted a length of plastic into the storage slot to hold the key open and rolled a few rubber rings around the key to hold everything together. However, the key DOES work - locks/unlocks remotely and starts the car. I live in South Africa - Chrysler upped and left here a few years ago, leaving Jeep/Alfa Romeo/Fiat dealerships to carry the can. Two local dealers have told me that replacement Key/Fobs are no longer available from Chrysler USA and suggested I "search online, try eBay". Yes, I have found sellers offering Key/Fobs with blank, uncut blades but no electronics, so not a lot of use (not to mention shipping costs to SA). Having read some write-ups about transferring the "innards" from the working key to a new key/fob, I am reluctant to attempt that and risk having no working key. My next port of call will be Mercedes dealerships, followed by auto-locksmiths here in SA but, having read through this thread, I'm not very hopeful....

Many thanks Sussudio. Can you recommend a seller on eBay or Amazon? On eBay I've seen Auto Locksmiths selling the 3-button version and Jetline Trading selling the 4-button version. My XF is Right-Hand Drive so I believe I need the 3-button version since my original key fob has only 2 buttons - no PANIC button. Next thing to do is find a locksmith who can cut the blank blade....
Just found this on the Needswings website. Looks like they can do it all for you! OK, at a cost, but NO hassle if you still have a working key/fob. My problem is: shipping my only key/fob to the US...!
