MrMiata,
The kit is complete. I noticed mention of a resistor or such (an extra box) necessary to prevent the light out light. That seemed to be in earlier posts, and I suspect that that has been included inside the ballast. Don't know, but it is not part of the kit, and is not needed.
The install was very simple, but room can be limited. Print the go-by from Max and have it available.
I just put the same kit in for my brights. Short term, there is no problem, but I need more time to be sure what I think. The dims were such an improvement, I knew immediately.
I made my own brackets. I sealed the rubbbers cups where I slit them to pass wires through. I left as little wire in as possible, and now realize that if you want back in to check something (like seating of the lamps), that the lack of wire inside makes that a problem.
Also, as has been mentioned in many ways, be extra careful to avoid letting the little wire clip that holds the lamp get loose. No problem the first time, but with the brights, it happened on both sides, and was a real irritant.
Good luck.
Michael

Good deal!.. from what I've tried to learn about these systems.. it seems the "digital" ones didn't need the added resistors, thanks for confirming. I've found my biggest issue is trying to see at night when it's raining or roads are wet on my country trek home. White and yellow paint is used sparingly on these roads..lol.
Same situation for me. I could not drive the Crossfire at night, and my wife avoided it when possible. I hope you'll enjoy the HID's as much as I have. Be absoultely certain that they are seated correctly. Having a little mechanics mirror will help.
I said the kits have everything; that's not quite true. The first pair had no double-stick (which I didn't miss) and no instructions (which would have been a problem if not for the go-by available here.
I still bought the second set (for brights) from the same company. For less than $40 for the pair, I didn't expect many frills. The second set came with instructions and doublesided tape, but lacked connectors that were included in the first set. They were not needed. I just want the lights to work, and so far they have done that wonderfully.
Let us know how the installations goes, and if you are happy with the result.
Merry Christmas!

With the wealth of information on this forum.. almost confident as if I'd already changed them out. Made and offer.. figure 20% Christmas sale should apply.. LOL. Got my wife some LEDS with remote for her bike last week with this approach. Now I've just got to get busy installing instead of collecting..
Just installed a pair of low-beams I purchased on ebay for around $32 for the pair. Install went smoothly, happy with the color, etc. I have two problems however.
1. I notice a significant interference in the radio when the headlights are on. The ballasts are mounted with double-sided tape. I suspect, perhaps, a grounding issue. Recommendations from experience are welcome!
2. Also, I went for a drive, and noticed that they are completely crooked. I thought I had set them accurately but must have not. Any tips to get that defined line against the garage? Thanks!

I have been driving for two weeks with my 6000k HIDs, but wanted to give the 4300k bulbs a try after doing some research, so I ordered a pair. Just got a round to replacing them tonight.
For anyone deciding between 6000k or 4300k bulbs before ordering, I highly recommend the 4300k bulbs. It is very true that the more blue the bulbs is (6000k), the less bright it is. I saw a HUGE difference between the two sets. Very happy with the conversion.

Now, would you please come down here and chase down all of the idiots with 6000K or 8000K HID's installed in conventional reflector headlights who all seem to be driving towards me in the dark and tell them this?
Please?
Have you tried the 5000k? They are awesome too. I put them in another crossfire and they are really bright! Brighter than my 4300's. Ordering a set of 5000k bulbs to upgrade!
Just installed the Xentec 5000K HIDs in my low beams over lunch today. Gonna have to tweak the actual beams tonight.
Anyone have any photos of what the beams should look like on a wall? I've seen just a few, but more would help.
Also, I used the double-sided 3M tape to mount the ballasts today and am a bit nervous with their long-term ability to withstand bumps, heat, etc etc. Does anyone have theirs mounted similarly?

I had some 1" wide brackets about a 16 ga. steel.. raduised on one end with a hole I mounted to the fender stud (drivers side) and radiator fill tank bolt (pass side). 3M taped the ballast to them. Didn't find any flat surface I was comfortable enough with myself. Haven't heard any rattling yet..

Also you will find it is a LOT easier to install the HID bulbs with the headlights removed.

Well I got them installed, but just worried about keeping the ballasts in place...
OH, that's a lovely 'crimson' red Crossfire that you've got there...
